Soul Music For Short Film
We had a great time creating this track for Prettiest Pony Productions. Paul Adelstein stars in this really clever short. Our singer friend Robin Henderson totally killed on this song. Enjoy.
Happy Sushi
Robb is a busy man.
Robb has been having a very busy summer. Here’s a few things he’s been up to:
Mixing for Memephis (arts & crafts)
Working with Nurses (dead oceans)
Mixing Dinner With The Band (IFC)
Playing with and recording Slow Skate
….and much more. We all agree it’s time for Robb to take a nap.
The Studio is Done.
The Danger Room Reborn
Margaritas
We just finished some great spots for Margaritas Restaurant with Nail in Providence. Our friend Josh Ottum tracked some guitar for the original score.
Meet Sparky
Our new friend Sparky has begun work on a four song EP. This 18 year old songwriter is on his way to great things.
Music is happening
Scott Reitherman of Throw Me The Statue stopped by to track some drums for a new song in the works.
2010 is the future.
Here we are. The future is now. Robb and Charlie are now officially under the same roof. And, officially looking into the same great tracking room. Studio Nels is very near complete. Only a few days into the new year and Nels Nelson Music already has some new ad work brewing, recording sessions booked and records being mixed.
More news soon.
Speaking of Robb …
Robb and composer Charlie Smith of Nels Nelson Music have been busy making sweet noise for a variety of projects. Charlie is in the studio tracking a new album with his band Throw Me The Statue for their label Secretly Canadian. Robb mixed TMTS’s new EP called “Purpleface” (available on i-Tunes) and has been producing and mixing for some cool bands including Slowskate, Das Vibenbass, Colin J. Nelson (no relation to Nels), Ada Loveless and lots more: www.robbdavidson.com.
